Fear is an unwelcomed guest that drops by ever so often, and when it does, it invites other guests when it drops by. The spirit of anxiety comes right along with it. They walk hand in hand. They are very organized spirits. When you find that you have fear, or you become anxious there is only one explanation. In Matthew 22:37 (NIV) "Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' Jesus went deep into the Kingdom requirements.
1 John 4:18 (KJV) says, "there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love". Focus on the scripture clearly. Jesus said that if you find that you are battling with the tormenting spirit of fear, then the love of God, which is to loved Him with all your heart, all your mind, and all your soul is not perfected within you. This is what Jesus says that fear has torment. It is a tormenting Spirit. When you love God perfectly as he asked you to love Him, then all fear will be gone. Wow.. How awesome God is, He is asking us just to genuinely love Him and trust Him , and all fear will be gone.
It is the Word of God that will lead and guide you into knowing the Truth of How to overcome the spirit of fear and anxiety. In Matthew 22:46, At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” It was the first time Jesus was separated from His Father. They are one. "Father, Son and the Holy Ghost". Jesus was never separated from them before, but He had to in order to redeem us. That was when He took on the sins of the whole world. That was when God turned His back on Him. This was when Jesus died on the cross to give you dominion over your fear and anxiety and over your sins and mine.
Habbakuk 1:13 (NIV) says, "Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?" God therefore could not look on Jesus when He took on all sins of the whole world. He had to turn His back on Him. Jesus is the Word of God, so when He rose from the dead, He died to overcome the fear and anxiety he may have felt. Jesus was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. Keep your mind on Jesus, love Him with all of your heart, your mind and your soul, and you will overcome the spirit of fear and anxiety.
My Prayer
Dear Lord I thank You for dying on the cross for me to overcome the spirit of fear and anxiety. I thank you that when I feel as if these spirits want to overcome me, I have your Word and prayer to deliver me, and that I am already an overcomer through the blood of Jesus Christ. I will love you with all of my heart, my soul and all my mind in Jesus name. Amen.
